Creating your own e-books and other applications

With so many resources available on the net, there is not reason why anyone with a bit of knowledge, could not be able to produce his/her own products.

The fact is that if you really want to succeed with your online business, sooner than later you should start generating your own products.

I can hear you asking.."How could I produce my own products if I have no programming knowledge?". Yes, not long ago I asked myself the same question. And it took me a while to find out that anyone with the right tool could easily create their own.

If you know how to use any word processing program, then you will have not problem at all to generate your application or e-book.

E-book: The term refers to a book that is available in electronic format. Usually e-Books are available in Adobe PDF, e-Book Reader format or in Microsoft's LIT format.

While executable (.exe) applications can be displayed only on computers with Windows® operating systems, pdf formats will be read on any operating system.

The main benefit is that publishing an e-book involves no cost. You will need of course a software to compile your documents and convert them into an application to be distributed electronically over the internet.

The list of compilers on the net is as large as the type of information you may consider to work on. The list will narrow as you decide which features you would like within your e-book. The price you would be willing to pay and even the format you would be compilling your e-book into.

Fortunately, there are free versions for you to see the characteristics and features available in some of them. The list below contain free downloads and paid formats compilers and are the ones that I personally recommend:

Activ Ebook compiler: It is a powerful professional quality tool, that makes it simple for anybody to get started in e-Book Publishing. Simply create a set of HTML files containing the information you want to sell, then run Activ E-Book Compiler and you'll have a self-contained Windows Program (".EXE") which users can download and run, to view your E-Book. You can even restrict access to parts of your E-Book with passwords, include links to relevant web sites, or sell advertising space in your E-Book.

ebook Starter: eBook Starter is the first ebook software that is an actual WYSIWYG ebook editor! If you can use a simple word processing program, you can create ebooks with eBook Starter. Offer free version to download.

I highly recommend getting your hands on this one while it is still available. Yes, it has its limitations, but they are minor and easily overlooked. With a little imagination one could create almost any software idea with Make your own software
